Banana pancakes topped with butter and agave. Strawberries on the side, and coffee via french press.

Didn’t have a chance to get this posted earlier… granola with strawberries, and coffee.
Sometimes I like to stand at the kitchen window and people watch in the mornings.
-Seth

Peanut butter and banana on an english muffin. Strawberries, orange slices, coffee and milk.
-Seth

Fruit topped granola with whole milk, coffee, and orange slices. Its a rather drizzly morning… kind of wish I had time for pancakes and then a morning nap.
-Seth

Mixed fruit, a peaberry from Bluebottle, and some milk. Now off to the DR…
-Seth

Fruit and granola, with some blue bottle coffee. Back on regular Milk… so good. That rice stuff just wasn’t cutting it.

Super tired this morning. Had a blast in the bay yesterday… will be sharing some of those photos soon, as well as a mini review of my time at the SFMOMA. Such an inspiring experience. Anyway, I chopped up some fresh fruit for breakfast this morning, and made a chemex brew of a peaberry coffee I picked up from the BlueBottle coffee house yesterday. The strawberries complimented it perfectly. The second shot is a higher res version of yesterdays breakfast.

Its honestly a little weird typing the number 84. Never imagined continuing to photograph my breakfast for so long. Im headed to the bay area tomorrow, so breakfast should be fun! Not planning on carrying a laptop, so we will see what happens.
Mixed berry pancakes, topped with banana slices and agave, and a side of strawberries.

Its a great feeling when a personal project leads to a commissioned assignment. The photo series of small business owners has been a great one (it is going to become probably a bi-weekly rather than weekly, but more on that later.) It has led to some great relationships, a growing body of photos I am proud of, and has presented some great real world learning opportunities. This assignment was a direct result of the work that has gone into that project, from reaching out to people, sharing photos, and directly engaging myself in my local community.
All of this led to being hired by iFixit to shoot a case study and editorial piece for a software they make called Dozuki. The software allows companies to create DIY guides and repair manuals for products they sell, and then distribute those guides through the app store, and in web environments to help customers around the world trouble shoot and fix those products. The concept is relatively new, and is a great example of yet another way the guys at iFixit are bringing the DIY mentality to consumers around the world. Anytime a company implements this software into their business in a cool way, iFixit goes onsite, and does a case study on them as a way to promote both the software, and the businesses, large or small.
This current project focused in a bike hardware and accessory company called Lezyne. They make some really hi quality, cool looking products, and have put together a service guide to match. The top shot was the clients pick for the story, the second was my favorite from the day. We also shot a lot of secondary and support images of the products in use that will be released over time. All the images were shot at the Lezyne studio in San Luis Obispo. You can check out Lezyne here, and you may see a few more outtakes on the Dozuki site.
Thanks for reading, and be sure to hit up the comments with any questions.
Best,
Seth
Ps. The bottom photos on the tear sheet were shot by iFixit.

Some multi-grain-flax-honey-almond-watchamacallit cereal(basically poor mans Kashi), and Coffee from Novo Roasting. Pretty tasty really. I’ve been eating the stuff as a late night snack all week, but thought I would save the last bowl for a breakfast post.
I also just posted some photos from a recent star shoot you can see here.
-Seth

My all time favorite (you know what it is)! Still hungry though…

Granola with raspberries, coffee by Verve roasting. Day three of rain in San Luis Obispo today… a little unusual.

I have recently developed a huge appreciation and fascination for still life photography, and really want to start exploring it as a photographic medium. [I also happen to love pineapple =] After a few weeks of beating my head against the wall, tonight I finally feel like I made a piece I can be proud of. Shooting these still life pieces is turning out to be the most fun I have had with photography in a while… very therapeutic, and creatively stimulating. There are some more pieces in the works, and I am really excited to be developing this as a body of work.

P.S. Craig Cutler has a great body of still life on his tumblr blog I would definitely recommend checking out.

Having a love affair with english muffins right now… topped with peanut butter, banana, and cinnamon. Orange slices, and Ethiopian Yergacheffe (via the Verve). Feeling rather excited about monday after this meal.
-Seth

Happy Easter to everyone… Hope it is a blessed one. Bacon+egg+cheese on an english muffin, orange slices and coffee.
-Seth

Oatmeal and coffee. Simple, tasty, and maybe healthy? Hope everyone is having a good easter, a chance to spend time their families, and to reflect on why we celebrate this holiday.
-Seth

Lava Print Media is cool new company up in Atascadero, CA, owned and operated by Don Smith and his family (recently relocated from LA). Don let me shoot his portrait under his giant new HP printer that costs more than brand new Honda Civic, and can make some seriously large hi res prints. They put out some really high energy and fun designs and print work that you will probably start seeing some if it all over the area.
-Seth
PS. I realize there was no photo last week… largely due to being incredibly busy with other photo work, and having a couple of cancelations. Will be posting a double shoot in the next week or so to catch up…
More of the work can be seen at www.sethlowephoto.com

(Not) the last breakfast. Still good though. Cinnamon sugar toast, orange slices, and coffee. Hope everyone is having a good holiday weekend.
-Seth

Cinnamon and brown sugar oatmeal, with orange slices. Have a big photo-shoot today, but more on that later =]
-Seth

Blueberries scones, paired with a cup of single origin intelligentsia (Bolivia).
-Seth

Home made blueberry scones(awesome), strawberries, and intelligentsia.

My new friend Brent… slightly intimidating, but very nice/funny guy.
Sometimes natural light just can be beat.
-Seth

Peanut butter toast with banana and cinnamon, strawberries and coffee.

Love Sundays. Bacon + eggs, orange slices and toast. Two cups of coffee. I sautéd cherry tomatoes into the eggs which added a really nice sweet-ness to the usually savory egg and bacon combo that normal tomatos dont bring.
